I grew up in a Christian home, where the gospel was presented often and it was at the age of three that God chose to convict me of my sin and draw me to Himself for salvation.
At the age of 11 I consecrated my life to the Lord for His work, and while working as a Summer missionary with CEF in 1985 God called me into full time Children’s ministry.
Following graduation from Aiea High school I attended International College and Graduate School of Theology where I received my B.A. in Christian Education and an M.A. in Biblical Studies.
In 1993 I moved to the island of Maui where I served as the local Director for CEF until 2009. In early 2009 God allowed me the privilege of becoming the Special Ministries Coordinator for CEF in the state of Hawaii. Now I spend my time encouraging teachers in the ministry God has called them to as well equipping and challenging them to be as effective as possible in the most fruitful mission field on earth … children.
This blog was begun in 2010 in an effort to make access to training and encouragement more readily available for teachers.
My passion in ministry is training teachers, especially in the area of helping their students develop a Biblical World View. And when it comes to working with children I have always loved working with 5th-7th graders (come on, we all have ‘favorites’ 😉 )
You may find my sense of humor rather dry (actually very dry) and frequently a little more than unusual, so feel free to ‘groan’ at any time 😉
